Art Time!

I am using my artistic abilities to help design a tinfoil masterpiece. I had to roll tinfoil up into tiny strips and place them strategically on the board to make flower designs.

The Jewellery Queen

I enjoy jewellery making. I am getting very good at making beaded necklaces and bracelets. I have a special tray that I put the beads onto so they don't all run away from me! I then thread one bead on at a time using repetitive patterns. Once I have completed a project I can choose to either wear my jewellery or to give it away as a thoughtful gift to someone.

Community Garden

This morning we went to the Merivale Community Garden. I hadn't been there before so I enjoyed looking around at all the veges and we picked some silver beet to take home. It was a lovely morning.

Pottery

Today I prepared my clay letter for the kiln.I smoothed all the rough edges with a damp sponge,I had to be so careful as it is very fragile.I am looking forward to decorating it for my friend Ray.

THE BEST SURPRISE EVER!!!

Today during lunch, I had the nicest surprise. Layrona and her mother came in to visit me at work. Its been so long since we have seen each other and I had tears of happiness in my eyes. I can't wait to catch up with her again.

Drama production

This week I went to watch the drama production, it was Greece this time, they all did a great job. I took my iPad and filmed the production. We all had a few laughs.

Blowing bubbles for sensory

Jordan enjoyed blowing bubbles onto staff and using them as targets for her HUGE bubbles to pop on!!!

Hamilton Zoo

Yesterday we went to the zoo in Hamilton. We saw lots of animals and birds. The Monkeys were my favourite, they were playing on the ropes! It was a awesome day.

Pottery time

I have been making clay pinch pots. They went to the Bethlehem Potters and got fired and now we can start painting them.
