I had a lovely relaxing time in girls group getting my nails done, a hand massage and finally I got my make up done, when I saw myself I couldn't help but smile! 

Adventures in Hamilton

Yesterday I went to Hamilton and had so much fun,I saw new Zealsnds biggest Christmas tree in Garden place. We then went over to SkyCity and had a look around. I had a yummy chicken club sandwidge for lunch. Can't wait to do it again! 

Creative with clay

I have been so busy putting ribbons on Christmas decorations ready for the gallery and also colouring clay butterflies and stars. 

A work of art

I have been working really hard in arts and crafts painting a canvas with lovely purple paint, I then drew flowers onto craft paper and cut them out. When I had all my flowers I glued them onto the canvas in a heart shape. It looks beautiful, I took it home to put on my wall. 

Xmas tree shop

We went to visit the Xmas tree shop and there was so much to look at 😍

Visiting the donkeys

I had a great time with all the animals. I loved the tortoise and the baby goats.

High tea

Last week I went to a fancy high tea at the Hotel Trinity Whaf. I had a yummy herbal tea and a club sandwidge.

Kuirau park Rotorua

 I had a great day in Rotorua at the park looking at the Bubbling mud pools and the smelly steam and then we had lunch down at the waterfront, it was so nice 😄

Jewelled bodice

I have been helping Donna with our jewelled bodice, I am concentrating on threading a bead, they can be a bit tricky sometimes

Tauranga arts festival

On Friday I went to the luminarium  light show on the strand it was very peaceful and carming.

Face masks

Yesterday in girls group we tryed out some face masks, made of Avo yogurt and honey. I didn't really Like the feel on my face but it made my skin nice and soft.

Walking round the elms

We went for a lovely walk around the elms and saw lots of old things, some of them I didn't know what they were they were that old.

Helping out

I wanted to help with the cleaning at the end of the day and what a good job I have done.

Yummy look at the meringues we have made, I am keeping an eye on them so they don't burn

Baking up a storm

Yesterday I helped ice the cupcakes that we made for the SPCA cupcake day I was incharge of helping put on the chocolate sprinkles.And of course I snuck a sneaky taste.

Plastic spoon flower

I have been helping sand the petals and look what we have made, it's so pretty

Making a cover for my chair

In sewing we made a funky and soft cover for the headrest on my wheelchair. It looks really funky and is comfy!!

Garden art

I been working on my a robot that we have been making out of different materials and it's been fun making all the funny faces

My birthday

I was so happy to be back at Arohanui on Tuesday I got to celebrate my birthday with my friends.

Caterpillars

Yesterday I went to Baycourt for the caterpillars show. It was funny, and really cool, the girl caterpillar even licked me!

Katikati trip

I had a lovely time in katikati look gat and photographing all the mural painted on the walls of the buildings.

Bike riding

Had a lovely day yesterday out in Te Puke.  I got to watch the others do bike riding on the tandem bike, which was as always a good laugh.  It was a bit cold, good thing I had my thermos of hot tea to keep me warm.

Snail making

I am busy making my snail.  I have knitted a piece and I am now rolling it together to make a snail.  Watch this space for the finished piece.

Getting a workout!

Ive been giving the staff a good workout! The staff are trying to stay n the chair but I'm too strong and can pull them right off the chair.

Bike riding

I got to be a photographer the other day and take lots of photos of the others riding the tandem bike at the Te Puke studio.  It was pretty funny watching them ride the bike, I even took a thermos of hot tea to drink while I was watching them. Here's a few of my pix.

High tea

We had a high tea yesterday at Arohanui. It was so nice I enjoyed my mum comming along. I even made her a cup of tea.

McLarens Falls

We went to McLarens Falls on Monday and walked over the suspension bridge.  It was very scary, especially because the bridge wobbled. I feel very proud of myself for going on to the bridge it was very high.

Using my strong arms!

I have an stretchy exercise band that helps me make my arms strong. I like to get the staff to hold one end and I'll try and pull them off their chair. I'm so strong that most of the time they land on the floor! it's so funny! Nicole was sitting on a yoga ball and I kept pulling her off. It looked like she was flying. Luckily I told her to take her glasses off first as I didn't want them I get broken.

Skyline Skyrides

Had a lovely day yesterday at skyline Skyrides in Rotorua. It was pretty cool getting to listen to music on the way up in the gondola.  I had a lovely coffee and lunch at the top of the hill.

Making cards

I really enjoy making cards for my friends, family and staff. I like writing messages in them and drawing the pictures on them. I hope they like them too!

Shopping!

I went for a walk to town and had a look around the shops. I found this gorgeous necklace and just had to buy it! I think it's really pretty and looks great on me.

Hot cross buns

Yesterday in cooking I helped make chocolate chip hot cross buns. They were delious.

Coffee time!

On Friday I got a special treat. I got to go into town to have a coffee at zest.

Story writing just got cooler

Today I started transporting my hilarious journal of Jordan's Crazy stories into a cool new app on my IPad. It is a story writing app that you can personalise with pictures, sounds and other neat things. I am very excited to finish it and show everyone. 

Painted pummice artwork

I completed a really cool wall art for one of my staff in garden art. I painted pummice with glittery pint paint and threaded it onto wire. It turned out really cool!

Contiki fishing

On Tuesday I got to go to Papamoa beach to help put out the Contiki! it was so fun, dad came too. We caught a fish and I got to hang out with all my friends as I was on a special beach chair. I can't wait to go again!

Make overs!

In girls group I got a make over. Nicole did my make up all pretty and fancy. Then I did her make up and put powder on her face. It was so funny!

Headbands

Today I was rummaging through the sewing material box and I found this awesome piece of material that I thought would make a great head band.

Painting

I had a Fun time in arts and crafts painting a canvas a pretty blue. I will be covering the picture with flowers that I have cut out of fabric. 

Out for coffee

Today I went for a lovely walk to Greerton village  with my friend Casey Rose. We went to a cafe and sat down for a nice relaxing chin wag. I had a skinny cappchino, it was delicious. 

First day back at work

Today everyone arrived back at work ready to start the new year. It's so good seeing all my friends and catching up on all our holiday stories. I'm so happy to see everyone again.
